Overview

Oxford Phonics World is the first step on your students’ journey into English, leading you through all 44 sounds.

This 5-level phonics course teaches students from the very beginning of their English journey. Students will learn to identify, pronounce, and write the alphabet in English from A – Z.

There are thought-provoking and engaging activities that come to life in the classroom (with our classroom presentation tool) thus letting children actively apply what they learn. They eventually make their way through the curriculum and learn to apply what they learned and really read, not just memorize words and sounds.

Goals

  • Over 150 Phonics Friends – an angry apple, a big bear, and others – help children remember English sounds.
  • Action songs, chants, and games encourage children to discover connections between English sounds and letters.
  • Active class activities develop children’s listening, speaking, reading, writing, and spelling skills and provide opportunities to apply them.

What you’ll learn

Students will learn the alphabet in English, and then build on that knowledge by re-enforcing their basic alphabet and phonics knowledge. Students will eventually learn to read.
Students will learn all 44 sounds.
Students will learn to identify, pronounce, and write the alphabet in English from A – Z.
Children actively apply what they learn.
Children will discover connections between English sounds and letters.
Children will develop their listening, speaking, reading, writing, and spelling skills in English.
These books come to life inside the classroom via the classroom presentation tool. Thus making learning fun and interactive.
